Chris Butler is a licensed acupuncturist with a specialization in fertility, gynecological, and women’s health. Chris graduated from a four-year training program at NEW ENGLAND SCHOOL OF ACUPUNCTURE in 1996, and 1993. He completed an 18-month training in Chinese Medicine focused on gynecology. In 1998, he became the lead clinician at THE ALOHA CLINIC where he treated patients with a range of acute and chronic health issues in Maui.
In 2008, Chris was board-certified in Oriental Reproductive Medicine by the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, whose members are required to complete extensive study in the field of reproductive medicine, pass a board exam, then commit to continued training to remain in good standing. Chris is, also, certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
As a clinician committed to research and study, Chris started his studies Functional Medicine in 2004. Functional medicine perfectly compliments Chris’s training in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s given Chris a deeper understanding of how the body works as a system, providing insight into treating health issues that have not responded to other traditional treatments.
Chris believes in educating his patients on how to become and stay healthy is a large part of his role. Using acupuncture, herbal remedies, nutritional medicine, as well as lifestyle counseling Chris’s patients feel better. They notice how sleep, exercise, diet, and relaxation affect their overall health.
Chris and his wife, Darlene, live in Tewksbury with their two sons.
